ENGLISH VERSION – Twins Peter and Pavol Hocschorner, three times C2 olympic champions in Sydney, Athens and Beijing and bronze medal in London 2012, are in Valstagna for one week to prepare next season. Ten years later their first time here, Peter and Pavol are again in north east Italy with family to improve power and boat at the beginning of this season:
“We choose Valstagna because this year we decide to stay in Europe and not travel to Australia to train – they said – we are very happy to be here because this channel is easier than others and it’s perfect to paddle in this first part of the season. Without pressure we will be focused about sensations and good things”.
During their training, this morning, they had an informal meeting with Pierpaolo Ferrazzi, local hero and Barcellona 1992 olympic champion in K1: “All of the most important paddlers in the world paddled here in Valstagna, our little town and our important river. Here is perfect at the beginning of the season and it’s ok for young paddlers. It’s a great honour for all italian paddlers to have Peter and Pavol here, and it’s wonderful see them on the waves”.
Not only Peter and Pavol on Brenta; this morning with them, Roberto Colazingari was in action; italian C1 paddler from Subiaco is preparing this season and he tried to discover secrets from Hochschorner. Not impossible, but very difficult!
